FAQ
Wellday Answers
What does Wellday Care cost?
There are two paths. Wellday Relief is $19/month for patients with occasional migraines (1–4 days per month) who need acute treatment. Wellday Prevention is $69/month for patients with frequent migraines (4 or more days per month) who need full preventive and acute care. You don't choose between them — your clinician recommends the right path during your $119 consultation, and you can always switch later if your situation changes.
Why is the consultation $119 if I haven't even decided to join?
The $119 covers your clinician's time to review your profile, meet with you, and build your Wellday Care Plan. You leave with that plan whether or not you continue with Wellday Care. We don't fund clinical evaluation hoping you'll convert — we charge fairly for the care you receive at every step.
What if I'm not a candidate for Wellday?
If your migraine profile suggests Wellday isn't the right fit (refractory cases needing in-person specialty care, certain insurance situations), we'll tell you honestly before you pay anything. No charge to find out.
How does billing work?
Your $119 consultation is billed when you schedule. Wellday Care is billed monthly to the card on file once you begin. You can cancel anytime — no annual contracts, no cancellation fees.
What if I need to switch paths?
You can move from Relief to Prevention (or vice versa) at any time through your account. Most patients who start with Relief move to Prevention when their clinician determines preventive treatment would help. The switch is seamless — your care plan updates and your medication coordination continues uninterrupted.
Why is Wellday Prevention $69 when other telehealth services cost less?
Most platforms charge less because they do less. They prescribe and ship — they don't handle prior authorization, savings card coordination, appeals, step therapy navigation, or ongoing care plan management. That work is the difference between a CGRP prescription that costs you $700/month and one that costs you $5/month. Your Wellday Care fee covers the full service.
Do you take insurance?
Wellday Care isn’t billed to insurance — it’s a direct-pay service. But we work with your insurance for medications, prior authorization, and savings card coordination. For most commercially insured patients, the combination of direct-pay Wellday Care plus insured medication produces dramatically lower total cost than insurance-billed telehealth alternatives.
What's not covered by Wellday Care?
In-person procedures (Botox, infusions, nerve blocks) are administered at in-person clinics — Wellday coordinates the referral and handles the insurance, but the procedure itself happens elsewhere. Emergency or urgent care, diagnostic imaging, and lab work also happen with in-person providers when needed. We're upfront about all of this during your consultation.
